Fracturing fluids during treatments must retain their viscosity for fracture generation, fracture internal pressure maintenance, fluid leak-off control and Proppant transportation. After the treatment is finished, the fracturing fluid must be able to return to a low viscosity state. The reduction in viscosity helps breakdown highly viscous gel inside the Proppant pack and aids in hydrocarbon flow to well-bore.

Breakers are specialized chemicals which “break” the ligand polymers bonds cross-linking the polymer gel together. Xien industries gel breaking systems of live and encapsulated oxidized breakers are used in hydraulic fracturing applications across both acid and Proppant fracturing treatments.

XB-64, XB-67 and XB-68 are the series of live and encapsulated oxidizing breakers that are specifically formulation for hydraulic fracturing applications with effective temperatures of 130 oF till 400 oF. Client lab testing is highly recommended via HPHT Rheology meter to determine the optimum dosage for the breakers.
